FAIRadio.net receives hundreds of recording performance submissions for consideration for air play.  It is the mission of FAIRadio.net to promote the development of the music arts by featuring both legacy and new discovery artists, and to offer the public a broader cultural experience.

Every submission is carefully reviewed and considered for placement.  Because of the broad, eclectic genre mix featured by FAIRadio.net, there is an excellent chance that quality submissions will be featured in our playlists.  CD Recordings should be mailed to:

We can also accept MP3 format recordings via the Internet if they are recorded at 320K bit rate or higher.  For quality purposes, we cannot rip lower bit rate MP3 files for broadcast use.  Since many e-mail services will not allow attachments of that size (usually 20 to 50 MB) it is probably better just to mail a CD.  If you are e-mailing an MP3 file, please e-mail to djnick at this domain site.  Be sure to include cover art and any promotional information as an attachment to your e-mail.

Important note to independent artists:  If you are publishing and marketing your own sound recordings, we strongly encourage you to register at SoundExchange so that you can benefit from royalty payments for broadcast of your performances.  Portland Internet Radio is licensed through SoundExchange.  We also encourage all labels, promotional agents, and independent artists to register all CD album information in the CD Database (CDDB) to improve our ability to properly report copyrights and performance rights.  Finally, we suggest that you catalog your cover art on Amazon.com so that  your recordings can be marketed using Amazon’s cover art database.
